Chit Chat v.1

I originally got this idea from Casey and her coffee talk posts, and I thought it would be a great way for me to just blog about whatever. I always find myself wanting to blog about certain things but then losing interest before I get a chance to sit down and write. Or I don't think it's relevant to my blog. Or there's simply not enough there for me to put together a whole post. Whatever the reason, I just have tons of things I want to talk about or say, but I don't know how I should go about letting those thoughts out. So out of my jumbled thoughts, "Chit Chat" is born.

- I've had a new laptop for several weeks now, and I still haven't gotten everything transferred from my old laptop to this one. I have so much music and so many pictures to go through, and I don't even want to think about all the word documents I should probably move over, too. One day I'll get to it.

- I really need to download the Adobe Creative Suite. For the kind of career I want, I need to know how to use Photoshop and InDesign and other programs like them, and I need to be confident in my skills and abilities to use the programs to produce good content and material.

- I'm getting to the point where I really don't like my wardrobe again. I guess it started at the beginning of the year, and now I just want all new everything. I really want to fill my closet with more classic and basic pieces that never go out of style. I've also pretty much stopped shopping at stores like Forever 21. I swear that's been the only store I've shopped at for, like, the past three years. I'm trying to be more selective in what I buy - you know, quality over quantity.

- I have a love/hate relationship toward living in Tennessee right now, but one thing I love is seeing all the leaves changing. We don't get that back home. And I've wanted to take some pictures because I have time right now, but it's been raining for the past week. I really hate rain, y'all. It ruins everything.

- I'm trying to not be so opinionated, especially on social media. I've noticed how annoying it is when people share those dumb articles on Facebook that lecture you about how to live your life, and I've decided I don't want to be one of those people who thinks she's the authority voice on any and everything. It's kinda unbecoming in my eyes. Everyone views things differently, and what works for one might not work for another. So I'm just going to live my life, and I don't really care if someone thinks I'm "doing it wrong."

- Job hunting sucks! And that's all I have to say about that.

- I think I finally found a non-profit organization that I want to actively support - the Alzheimer's Association. I also want to continue to support my sorority's philanthropic partner, Girls on the Run.

- I have become obsessed with Pinterest and HGTV.

- I am literally livid with Survivor and tribal council from last night. (Does anyone still watch that show? If you do, please reach out to me because I need people I can talk to about these things.) I am so mad that the tribe voted out Kelly instead of Baylor. I really don't like Baylor, and I can't stand her mom, Missy. And Jaclyn and Jon are officially on my hate list for voting with those two instead of Dale and Kelly. SO. MAD.

  1. This is actually a great idea for those days when I don't know what to blog about. Hopefully your job situation works out soon :)
