Blur

Dim lighting and no tripod make for blurry pictures.

Vic's Taxi

If I had decided to organize my England posts based on favorite days rather than chronologically, my photos from our private tour with Vic's Taxi would have been the very first photos I'd have shown you. This day is a standout in my many memories from England, and I'm thrilled to finally share this day with you through the posts coming up this week.

Carousel

Just a quick post today to start off a very busy weekend. My mom and stepdad are on their way to Atlanta to pack up my apartment! I mentioned last month that Bryan and I are moving to Knoxville, and the weekend it happens is finally here.

Tower of London & Tower Bridge

The first "big thing" we did in London was the Tower of London.

Three Quarters

Platform 9 3/4

Part of the excitement of going to London was being where the world of Harry Potter was born. My mom and I are huge Potterheads, so it was necessary that we find Platform 9 3/4 ASAP.

Big Ben

Y'all, I took about 7 million pictures of this darn clock. I'm not even kidding.

What's in my carry-on?

Traveling is rough on anybody. Long flights, layovers, crying babies (don't even get me started), and all around discomfort... it's really not as glamorous as people make it out to be. Now I'll be the first to say that I'm no veteran traveler by any means, but I've been across the Atlantic a couple times, and I've learned a lot about what I need to bring in my carry-on in those few flights. So here I am to share with you what I bring in my carry-on, and maybe it will help you when you're packing for your next long-haul flight.

Prince of Wales

I shared on Saturday about our flat that we called home while in London, but our flat wasn't the only thing that made us feel welcomed while overseas. Prince of Wales, a local pub, was a huge part of our trip, and it's the backdrop of many wonderful memories during our time in England.

Chesson

One of the hardest things about traveling to a new place is feeling like you have no where to come home to, no where to escape the unfamiliar and absorb everything you've seen and done. Thankfully, my mom and I did not have that issue at all during our two weeks in London.

Camden Markets

On our first full day in London, my mom and I took the Tube up to the Camden Markets and winded our way through mazes of people, clothing stalls, and food vendors.

1000 Places: London

Finally getting around to sharing mine and my mom's amazing English adventure! This was such a special trip for so many reasons. We were celebrating my college graduation. We were out of the country. We were having true mother-daughter time. So many memories were made that I won't forget, and I'm so happy that this little idea that my mom and I thought of over a year ago actually became a reality.
