The Big Reveal and Welcome to the Royal Family

My Big and me!

Just over a week ago was Big/Little Reveal, and I could not be happier with my Big!! I first met Lindsey during recruitment week, and I talked to her every night. Then on Bid Day she was my Bid Day Buddy. And now she is my Big! I don't even think it's possible to express how excited and happy I am!

Just Like Christmas!

Big/Little Day 3: It's all about me!

The first thing I saw when a sister was bringing me my basket (more like huge, plastic bin) was the elephant stuffed animal. My heart started to melt, and it kept melting with every little gift I uncovered. From the Lilly Pulitzer coasters,  the "sun-kissed sand" fragrance dispenser, the stitched letters shirt, and everything in between, I couldn't be happier with all that my Big has gotten for me.

It's Big/Little Week!

Today was the first day of Big/Little Week, and I am so excited to see what the rest of this week has in store! For those of you who don't know how it works, in every sorority all the new members get a "Big Sister" also known as her "Big." The new member is referred to as the "Little." For a whole week leading up to Big/Little Reveal, the Little gets goodies from her unknown Big and gets to basically faint over all of her presents and die over the anticipation of waiting to know who her Big is. Then on the day of Reveal, the Little finally meets her Big.

Then Big and Little live happily ever after in the land of cute t-shirts, socials, and sisterhood!

A Case of the Mondays...

Actually, it's more of a mid-semester blues versus a case of the Mondays. I'm pretty sure every college student gets this feeling about half-way through the semester - feeling burnt out, stressed about grades, just wanting winter or summer break to get here... We're all familiar with it. And I know I have been feeling it even more this semester than I ever have before. But unfortunately, I can't just roll over and say "I'm done." So in order to get me through the last month and a half of fall semester I'm going to focus on all the things I have to look forward to instead of getting bogged down with school. Because let's be honest here, who really wants to think about school when there are so many other great things going on in life?

Gangnam Style

I probably don't even need to give an introduction to this video because I'm almost positive every single person on the planet has heard of "Gangnam Style." And if you haven't, well... I don't really know what to tell you. This song has exploded, and I am totally hooked on the korean sensation. And because I am so obsessed, I felt a need to share it with y'all even though I'm sure it's nothing new to you guys.

Enjoy and Happy Sunday!
(By the way, I am exactly four weeks away from my 21st birthday!)

Getting Fit with P90X

That's right, ladies and gentleman. This girl right here is doing P90X. I was looking good back in December, but as soon as this past spring semester started I stopped going to the gym, and I started eating a lot of junk food. Since the beginning of the year I have gained weight and lost pretty much all muscle definition. I'm weighing the heaviest I've ever weighed, and I'm just all-around unhappy with my body and fitness level. But instead of sitting on my couch and crying about my looks over a bag of potato chips, I'm doing something about it.
